Medical Student Education
Students from Harvard Medical School as well as other medical schools in the U.S. and around the world participate in courses throughout the Department of Medicine. This includes an introduction to the basics of general medicine and primary care.

Residency Program
The Department offers a Clinical Residency Program in internal medicine. One of the top programs in the country, the residency program attracts more than 3,700 applicants for 64 internship spots each year.

Medicine Fellowships
The Department offers clinical fellowships in several medicine subspecialties. We are proud to provide world-class training to more than 140 clinical fellows each year. Many of our divisions also offer prestigious research fellowships.
