Weiqun Yu, MD, PhD

Dr. Yu’s research focuses on benign urological diseases. We strive to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying these diseases, such as overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, and ketamine cystitis. We use integrative approaches including molecular, cellular, and genetically modified animal models to address these questions. Current research activities include purinergic regulation of bladder motility, bladder epithelial mechanosensory function, and molecular mechanism of ketamine cystitis.
