The Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine offers exceptional training programs for medical students, residents and fellows in all areas of anesthesia care.

We offer outstanding training programs for medical students, residents and fellows. Dedicated faculty members are committed to providing a comprehensive education in anesthesiology. The professional and personal satisfaction of each department member is paramount to the success of our patient care, teaching and research endeavors. In addition to our educational programs, our Division also sponsors a medical education institute, the Center for Education Research, Technology and Innovation (CERTAIN), that publishes leading-edge educational research in many national publications.
The Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine offers fellowships in Adult Structural Heart Anesthesia, Neuroanesthesia, Neurocritical Care, Perioperative Medicine and Regional Anesthesia.

Medical Student Education
Harvard Medical Students in the third and fourth years rotate through the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine, where faculty, residents and fellows take pride in educating students about the scope of our field.
