Treating and Preventing Lymphedema
The Boston Lymphatic Center is a joint program between the Lymphatic Centers at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Boston Children's Hospital, teaching affiliates of Harvard Medical School. While each hospital has a long history of treating patients with lymphatic disorders, in 2020, the two programs officially joined and were named a Comprehensive Center of Excellence by the Lymphatic Education and Research Network.
BIDMC has evaluated over 1000 new patients with lymphatic disorders since 2016. It offers the entire complement of care to assess and treat adult patients, including specialized clinics in lymphatic medicine, lymphatic surgery, and lymphatic therapy. Our Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine divisions offer specialized imaging and image-guided interventions for lymphatic disease. We offer coordinated care in a supportive environment. Whether you are a patient, allied health care professional, or physician, please do not hesitate to reach out via our toll free number 1-833-4UR-LYMF.
