Care for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition that causes irregular menstrual periods and elevated levels of androgens (male hormones) in women. It is a common endocrine problem that affects one in 10 women in the reproductive age group.

About Us

The PCOS Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center provides comprehensive care to women with PCOS. Every patient gets evaluated by our endocrinologists using a complete hormonal workup. A pelvic ultrasound will be obtained if required.

In addition, our center offers a multidisciplinary integrated care by a team of subspecialists in endocrinology, dermatology and lifestyle modification to assist women with various complications associated with PCOS. A comprehensive evaluation and treatment care plan made by the expert team is available to the individual patient on a single visit at the multidisciplinary clinic at the center.
