Ophthalmology (Eyes)

Eye and Vision Patient Care at BIDMC

The Division of Ophthalmology at BIDMC provides comprehensive medical and surgical treatment of eye diseases, including subspecialty services in glaucoma, cataract surgery, cornea and external diseases, and neuro-ophthalmology.

Optometry services are also provided. A variety of ancillary testing is available, including fluorescein angiography, fundus photography, ophthalmic ultrasound and visual fields. Ophthalmic laser treatments can be performed on-site. The division's services are provided within the Longwood Medical Eye Center.

We also conduct research to improve the care of patients with eye disorders.
