Recognizing Excellence, Scholarship, and Accountability (RESA) is BIDMC’s program for professional nurses in direct patient care. RESA recognizes practice excellence, knowledge, competence, commitment to quality, and leadership. The RESA program is a platform for nurses to chart personalized paths along the domains from which the program takes its name: excellence, scholarship, and accountability in nursing practice. It acknowledges nurses’ contributions to advance the art and science of nursing at BIDMC and in the larger nursing community.
We have a robust program of continuing education programs for staff. Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Nursing Education is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by American Nurses Association Massachusetts, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Each year during National Nurses Week, BIDMC presents over 20 excellence awards to nurses on staff, including peer-nominated awards from the Nursing Department as well as recognition from colleagues representing a wide variety of clinical areas.
