Structural heart disease is any abnormality of the heart and great arteries, which may involve the heart muscle, heart valves and/or their supporting structures.

Traditional open heart surgery used to be the only effective option for most structural heart conditions. Now, our interventional cardiologists and cardiac surgeons also perform many nonsurgical and hybrid procedures for structural heart disease.
