Our Quest to Cure Cancer

A Message from the Director, Pier Paolo Pandolfi, MD, PhD

170519_BIDMC_Day_3_0729_221x147The Cancer Research Institute at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is an interdisciplinary center of extraordinary researchers with a common goal: curing cancer.

Our scientists have advanced radical ideas that today help form the foundation of cancer biology. Their seminal investigations have revealed the roots of angiogenesis, led to the creation of novel vaccines to attack cancer through the immune system and uncovered the promising therapeutic potential of noncoding RNAs — the abundant genetic material that is no longer regarded as "junk."

Our scientists and clinicians interact every day to ensure the Cancer Center at BIDMC offers patients the most advanced care.

From bench to bedside, our goal is to exceed the standard of care and achieve the Standard of Cure™.
