Alzheimer's Disease

Ongoing studies into the cognitive deficits and potential treatments of Alzheimer's Disease are an important part of the clinical research program of the Behavioral Neurology Unit. We have recently completed a study of anti-inflammatory medication in Alzheimer's Disease, as well as a study using a novel MRI approach to diagnosing subtle brain changes associated with early Alzheimer's Disease. Research using new pharmacologic agents is anticipated to occur in the near future.
