The goal of the Small Animal Imaging Core (Longwood Small Animal Imaging Facility) is to provide state-of-the-art small animal imaging services to researchers in the Longwood Medical Area of Harvard Medical School. These services include multi-modality imaging, advanced data analysis, image fusion resources, and a satellite animal facility for longitudinal studies.

This facility is available for research use by investigators at BIDMC and external research users. We have a streamlined system for importing animals from other institutions into the facility.

We want to make this a one-stop service for you. Simply bring us the animals, and we will take care of all anesthesia and imaging, and will assist you with data analysis and display. You will leave with all the data you need on a CD, DVD, or USB memory stick. We also have state-of-the art data analysis and fusion facilities to assist you as well.
