BIDMC offers a variety of services to support patients and their families, including:

  • Advance Directives: Compassionate, patient-appropriate care for those who are very sick or near the end of their lives.
  • Health Care Proxy: Learn how to name a health care proxy who will faithfully execute your wishes in the event you are no longer able to.
  • Case Management: Our case managers help patients make plans for continued care after discharge.
  • Ethics Consult: The Cheng Tsui Ethics Program assists patient and families navigating difficult health care decisions.
  • Language Assistance & Interpreter Services: Interpreter support for dozens of languages to ensure your voice is heard.
  • Medical Records: You have the right to access your medical records at any time.
  • Patient Rights & Responsibilities: Learn about your rights and responsibilities as a patient at BIDMC.
  • Social Work Services: Support for patients and families to help navigate the challenges that may arise when illness or injury occurs
  • Spiritual Care: Chaplains provide a variety of spiritual services to people of all faith traditions.
