Surgery Grand Rounds and Seminars


The Roberta and Stephen R. Weiner Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center sponsors various events throughout the year, including the following:

Surgery Grand Rounds

Surgery Grand Rounds and the department's Distinguished Visiting Professors Series are held every Wednesday morning from 8:00-9:00 am during the academic year in the auditorium at Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston, which is located very close to the BIDMC West Campus.

Surgical Horizons

Emerging and senior leaders from both surgical and non-surgical disciplines who are currently pursuing endeavors that promise to dramatically alter the landscape of care for the surgical patient are invited to speak as part of our monthly Surgical Horizons Seminar Series.

IDEAS Symposium

IDEAS (Innovation, Design, and Emerging Alliances in Surgery) is an annual daylong symposium sponsored by the Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. IDEAS is focused on "Bringing Innovative Ideas to Life," and is held in the spring at Harvard Medical School.
