Combined Maternal Fetal Medicine and Medical Genetics and Genomics Fellowship
The Maternal Fetal Medicine Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Harvard Medical School Genetics Training Program at Boston Children’s Hospital jointly offer a 4-year fellowship program for combined training in maternal fetal medicine and medical genetics and genomics. Physicians who have completed an ACGME accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and wish to participate in a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) fellowship may integrate their training with a Medical Genetics residency.
This combined fellowship training will be completed at Harvard Medical School affiliated institutions and consists of 18 months of clinical medical genetics, 18 months of clinical maternal fetal medicine, as well as 12 months of research. Trainees who complete this training program will be eligible for certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and in Medical Genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG).
