OB/GYN Fellowship Training at BIDMC
Affiliated with Harvard Medical School, BIDMC's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is at the forefront of advanced education in women's health. Our postgraduate training programs attract gifted providers who seek to succeed in all areas of our mission: clinical care, research and education.
Working alongside nationally and internationally recognized leaders in all OB/GYN specialties, we ensure our fellows are thoroughly prepared to provide patient-centered, expert care while using innovative technologies and therapies. We offer five highly competitive fellowships that are all accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Learn more about fellow benefits and about each program:
- Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery: The Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) Fellowship is primarily based within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) with clinical rotations also available at Mount Auburn Hospital (MAH) in Cambridge.
- Gynecologic Oncology: The mission of the Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship at BIDMC within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology to train physician-surgeons who provide outstanding patient-centered care for patients with gynecologic malignancies, while also fostering the development of innovative leaders in translational and clinical research, medical education, quality improvement, and global health.
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine: The mission of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at BIDMC is to create leaders with robust clinical training, a world-class education and a broad range of individual opportunities in clinical innovation, research, advocacy and quality improvement in an innovative and progressive work environment.
- Combined Maternal-Fetal Medicine & Medical Genetics and Genomics (accredited by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics): The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) Maternal-Fetal Medicine & Medical Genetics and Genomics Fellowship aims to create leaders in both maternal-fetal medicine and genetics with robust clinical training, a world-class education and a broad range of individual opportunities in clinical innovation, Obstetrics & Gynecology research, advocacy and quality improvement in an innovative and progressive work environment.
- Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility: The mission of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) Fellowship program, within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, is to ensure that, upon graduation, our fellows are able to practice independently as skilled and compassionate specialists who are committed to lifelong learning and professional growth.
