Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency
Training in Emergency Medicine
The Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency (HAEMR) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is a three-year program (PGY1 to PGY3).
The residency is centered at BIDMC’s Level I Trauma Center, which treats 57,000 patients each year. Residents also rotate at Children's Hospital Boston and Tufts Medical Center in Boston, and nearby community hospitals including Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham, Mount Auburn Hospital, Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital, Cambridge Health Alliance, St. Vincent Hospital and St. Luke's Hospital.
This program also takes advantage of the unique academic opportunities at Harvard Medical School, the Harvard teaching hospitals and the Harvard School of Public Health.
