Junior Faculty Leadership Development Course

This course includes lectures and workshops on how to enhance your current leadership skills while also exploring ways to further your career as a leader and change agent. The program also includes modules on how to get to a leadership position in small steps; how to efficiently and effectively conduct a meeting; and how to address the challenges of leadership. Round table discussions are also held on topics such as basic negotiation skills, the ethics of leadership, and addressing common leadership issues.

This is an introductory course for those interested in learning the basic principles of leadership in the academic environment and designed specifically for junior BIDMC faculty at the instructor or assistant professor levels who have no current leadership role or have started a new leadership role.
