BIDMC's Surgical Oncology Division provides compassionate, state-of-the-art surgical care for adults with a broad range of cancers. We also train future surgical oncologists and conduct research to discover innovative, more effective cancer treatments. Our areas of special expertise include:

• Endocrine surgery, including thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, minimally invasive adrenalectomy, and care for rare genetic cancer syndromes
• Complex pancreatic and hepatobiliary surgery, including advanced robotic surgery and Whipple procedures
• Multidisciplinary breast cancer treatment and surgery
• Sarcoma and soft tissue tumor surgery, including multivisceral resection
• Melanoma surgery, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and complex skin cancer-related problems
