BSHC Welcomes New Executive Director

PhillyBowdoin Street Health Center is pleased to announce that Phillomin Laptiste, Associate Director, has been appointed to the position of Executive Director and will begin her tenure on April 3rd.

Philly brings a wealth of experience to her new role. In 2008, Philly joined Bowdoin as Manager of Community Health and she continued to take on increased levels of responsibility, ascending to Operations Manager and then Associate Director. Philly’s unique skill set includes operational management, strategic and budgetary planning, community engagement, and key constituency building.

Born and raised on Bowdoin Street, Philly’s connection to the Bowdoin/Geneva community will be an invaluable asset as she begins her tenure as Executive Director. Philly holds a BS in Management and Organizational Communications from Emerson College and Master of Health Administration from Suffolk University.

"As a lifelong resident, I have been fortunate enough to observe and participate in positive changes in Bowdoin Geneva”, she says. “My involvement with building programs to meet the needs of my fellow residents will serve me well in my new role as Executive Director. I look forward to fostering new relationships while building on existing relationships between patients, staff, and community agencies. As we begin to think differently about how to care for our patients, working as a cohesive team will be crucial to continuing to foster positive changes in this neighborhood."

This is an exciting time at Bowdoin Street Health Center and Philly is poised to continue and expand the important work of providing outstanding integrated health care and wellness programming to the patients and families of the Bowdoin/Geneva neighborhood.
