During this unprecedented time of COVID-19, our daily lives have been completely turned upside down. The world-famous Boston Marathon was originally scheduled for today,* One of Boston's greatest annual traditions, this joyous day honors courageous runners confronting 26.2 miles, passionate crowd members cheering them on, and a city alive with energy.
In the spirit of the Boston Marathon — and with conviction that our lives and our city will one day return to normal — we wanted to share uplifting, inspiring stories of our Team BIDMC runners, who continue to train while practicing social distancing.
Torney and Pertler will run a victory lap in September.
