When blood vessels are damaged, blood is not delivered to organs and tissue they way it should be; tissue and organs can be damaged by lack of blood flow.

There are different types of vasculitis. Some people have it for a short time and do not require treatment. Others have chronic vasculitis and do need ongoing treatment to reduce inflammation and prevent it from happening again.
