Meet Our Bariatric Administrative Associate

By Linda Trainor, RN, BSN
Bariatric Nurse Coordinator at BIDMC

Jaime Cudmore, bariatric administrative assistantJaime Cudmore joined the Weight Loss Surgery team at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in June 2018. In addition to performing administrative duties, Jaime also guides all bariatric patients through the surgical process and obtains all insurance authorizations.

“Jaime is fantastic!” says Daniel Jones, MD, Chief of Minimally Invasive Surgery and Bariatric Surgery. “She is dedicated to our patients’ experience and she works tirelessly getting patients approved through the insurance process.”

Jaime earned her Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University and is currently working towards her nursing degree.

Prior to joining BIDMC’s Weight Loss Surgery Center, Jaime worked as a Medical Assistant in the Weight Management program at Atrius Health.

One can easily recognize Jaime’s enthusiasm for helping patients while she’s working at her stand-up desk.

“I love being able to work in a department that makes such a difference in people's lives,” says Jaime. “My favorite part is seeing patients who have undergone surgery have a complete change of mindset from before surgery. Weight loss surgery is truly a ‘second chance’ at life and seeing how much of a positive impact it has had on so many people is something that always brightens my day.”

Outside of work, when Jaime is not studying for nursing exams, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading and doing yoga. Her favorite hobby is caring for a variety of vibrant plants at home.

“One can never have too many plants to revitalize your day,” says Jaime.

Thanks for all you do, Jaime!
