Collaborative Care with a Diverse Faculty

The Division of Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is committed to providing our patients with the highest quality of care. In an effort to address the variety of musculoskeletal problems that affect our patients, we have established a collaborative group of physicians who are trained in a number of different medical specialties to best diagnose and treat our patients. We draw on our team’s diverse experience in orthopedics, internal medicine, emergency medicine, athletic training and family medicine to provide the best possible treatment, as efficiently as possible.

A Thoughtful Approach, Focused on You, the Patient

We strive to help you understand your medical condition and to collaborate with you in determining your plan of care and best next step towards recovery. We place a strong emphasis on evidence-based, value-driven care.

Imaging When You Need It

X-rays and ultrasound imaging can offer us a clear picture of what may be happening with the bones and overlying soft tissues, like the muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Because we can perform x-rays and ultrasound in every office location, our patients frequently receive a diagnosis at the time of their evaluation. At times, advanced imaging in the form of an MRI may be necessary to fully understand the nature of the problem and to evaluate its severity.

Same-Day Evaluations

We offer same-day evaluations for injured athletes every (Monday-Friday) at all of our office locations in Boston, Chelsea, Chestnut Hill, Lexington, Milton and Needham.

After hours and on weekends, please leave a detailed message including your name, phone number and a brief description of your injury. All calls will be returned the morning of the next business day.
