The Division of Neuromuscular Disease at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) provides world-class diagnostic, therapeutic, and supportive care to people living with neuromuscular disease. We’re focused on delivering collaborative, patient-centered care using evidence-based research to inform our practice.
Our team specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases affecting muscle and nerve function, including:
- Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other diseases of motor neurons
 - Inherited and acquired neuropathies
 - Myasthenia gravis and disorders of the neuromuscular junction
 - Muscular dystrophies and myopathies
 - Nerve injury
 
The department also offers comprehensive neurodiagnostic studies.
