Treatment for Kidney Disease
The Division of Nephrology is dedicated to improving the lives of people with kidney disease. We deliver patient-centered, state-of-the-art care to over 5,500 patients each year at our primary Boston location. Our providers also see patients at a number of member hospitals and affiliates, and area dialysis centers across Greater Boston.
Our nephrology faculty and fellows work with patients and their families to manage chronic kidney disease, developmental and genetic abnormalities, hemodialysis, hypertension, and peritoneal dialysis. They provide compassionate care to patients with end-stage kidney disease. Our nephrologists also work closely with BIDMC's Transplant Institute to manage pre- and post-kidney transplant care and with Joslin Diabetes Center to treat kidney-related diabetes complications.
