The Dermatologic Surgery Unit focuses on surgical treatment of skin cancers. Our Unit is located in one of the major teaching hospitals of Harvard Medical School. Our physicians and supporting personnel are highly trained and focused on providing you with the highest quality care possible. Mohs Surgery

This unique form of surgery was developed over 50 years ago by Dr. Frederick Mohs. Since that time the technique has been continually refined and advanced. It is widely accepted as the technique that offers the highest cure rate for many different types of skin cancer.

Surgical Excision

Surgical excision refers to a procedure in which tissue is removed and sent for post-operative histologic analysis. It may be performed for either diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
