For Referring Physicians
Our team of interventional cardiologists and cardiac surgeons work together to perform surgical, nonsurgical and hybrid procedures for the treatment of structural heart diseases. From evaluation to treatment, the BIDMC Structural Heart Center delivers the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Leaders in Treating Valve Disease
Our team of experts perform minimally invasive mitral valve repair to treat mitral regurgitation (MR). We are leaders in the use of Mitraclip therapy, which has shown improved clinical outcomes and quality of life for
patients with both primary and secondary MR who are at high risk for open-heart surgery. In July 2020, BIDMC becomes the first hospital in Boston to offer the fourth-generation MitraClip G4 device.
