Contacting the Joint Commission

To All Patients, Families, Visitors and Staff:

At Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center we are committed to personalized, excellent care for our patients and have a workforce devoted to individual accountability, mutual respect and collaboration. The details of this commitment are described in our pamphlet "Your Rights as a Patient," and on Patients Rights notices displayed throughout our ambulatory clinics, inpatient areas, and Emergency Department.

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center welcomes information regarding any concerns, problems, or complaints about patient safety, or the quality of care or service that a patient received in our care. You are encouraged to speak directly to the providers, appropriate supervisors, or management staff about your concerns.

If your concerns are not resolved to your satisfaction, or if you would like the help of someone not immediately involved, our Patient Relations staff is available via telephone at (617) 975-9750 on Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

After hours, please leave a confidential voice mail message and your call will be returned promptly.

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is accredited by The Joint Commission, an organization that is committed in its mission to continuously monitor and improve the safety provided to the public by health care organizations. If you feel that your concerns have not been resolved by our organization, you may contact The Joint Commission.
