A man is attending an online course through his tablet. We have the pleasure of announcing our course "Movement Disorders: Current Concepts and Practice," an educational course for physicians and other health care professionals developed by our faculty at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center in conjunction with Harvard Medical School Department of Continuing Education which is accredited by the ACCME. The course will be held online from October 2-3, 2020. The course is approved for providing 14 Category I AMA CME credits.

The course was developed to address learning gaps in movement disorders encountered by the general neurologist or medical practitioner along with any nurses, physical or occupational therapists or mental health professionals who may be seeing patients with these disorders. The course will cover current concepts on pathophysiology of the various movement disorders, evidence-based evaluation and treatment recommendations, clinical practice guidelines as well as experience-based recommendations. Finally, the course will culminate with interactive discussion of video-based case examples of movement disorders. We are hopeful that this educational opportunity can reach the intended audience to ultimately provide better care for patients with movement disorders.
