Pride Flag with stethescopeThis community forum will explain the Trump Administration’s recently released rule proposing the removal of LGBT nondiscrimination provisions from Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and several other regulations governing insurance coverage and elder services. The speakers will discuss the possible implications of the proposed rule on health outcomes and access to health care for LGBT people, with a particular focus on how Massachusetts residents may be affected by the rule. Finally, the community forum will review advocacy strategies that attendees can take, and the forum will conclude with a letter writing workshop to help participants create their own public comments opposing the proposed rule.
