Autoimmune and Cholestatic Liver Disease Program

Liver Center Physician with PatientThe Autoimmune and Cholestatic Liver Disease clinic provides care for patients with liver issues related to complications of autoimmunity, such as:

  • Autoimmune hepatitis
  • Primary biliary cholangitis
  • Primary sclerosing cholangitis
  • Autoimmune and IgG-4 related cholangiopathies
  • Sarcoid-related liver disease
  • IBD-related liver disease
  • Complex autoimmune disease

Through our research, we hope to better understand autoimmune liver disease and discover new treatments. Our patients have the opportunity to enroll into an Autoimmune and Cholestatic Liver Disease registry and participate in ongoing and future clinical trials.

We work closely with clinicians from Rheumatology, the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program, Center for Advanced Endoscopy, Transplant Institute and the Liver Tumor Program to provide comprehensive care to all patients.

At the conclusion of each visit, patients can expect to receive a detailed summary of their diagnosis, treatment plan and next steps in care. We will coordinate any further testing that may be necessary and communicate clearly with your primary care physician and local specialists.
