Dr. Zhang currently focuses on the upstream regulating mechanism of a
stem-cell related gene SOX9 during the development of prostate cancer. In
addition he also explores the mechanism of drug resistance during the
chemo-therapy of prostate cancer. His long-term goal is to identify and
verify a mechanism that will potently contribute to the translational
therapy of prostate cancer.
