What is MyICU?
MyICU is a new communication tool designed especially for ICU patients and
their families. MyICU is available in all of the ICUs at BIDMC, and can be
accessed from any location inside, or outside of BIDMC using your computer
or mobile device.

Who can obtain a password for full access to MyICU?
Every patient can receive a password to access MyICU using. If a patient is
unable to obtain a password due to his/her medical condition, the
healthcare proxy or other close loved one can be granted a password.
Can more than one family member obtain a password?
There will be one MyICU password for each patient. The patient or family
member who enrolls in MyICU can share that password with other family
How do I obtain a password for MyICU?
from your own computer or mobile device, tap the button to create an
account, and follow the prompts. If you need assistance, ask a member of
your care team.
Can I access MyICU outside the hospital?
Yes. MyICU can be accessed from computers and mobile devices both inside
and outside the hospital by going to: myicu.bidmc.org.
Who do I call if I have a question about the program?
You can ask the Unit Coordinator or a member of the care team in the unit
where you/your loved one is staying.
Who can read the journal entries that I write?
Only patients and family members with passwords can read or write in the
private family journal. At the end of the ICU stay, one copy of the journal
will be available to download for 30 days after discharge by the enrolled
patient or family member.
