Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology: Program Leadership

Monica MendiolaMonica Mendiola, MD
Program Director
Dr. Mendiola is a member of the OBGYN Generalist Practice, the Site Director at the BID Chelsea site; and an Instructor in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. She completed both her medical degree and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas and has a focus on diversity in medicine, community health and healthcare disparities, and feedback improvement in medical education.
Dr. YoungBrett Young, MD
Associate Program Director
Dr. Young also serves as the High Risk Rotation Director, Resident Didactic Course Director, Rotation Director Ambulatory Obstetric Ultrasound Rotation, Associate Program Director for the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship and is Director for Maternal Fetal Medicine Services at Mt Auburn Hospital.

Dr. Young is a member of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division and an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. She completed her medical education at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, trained in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program here at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and completed a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Young has a focus on medical education.

Dr. FaridHuma Farid, MD
Assistant Program Director
Dr. Farid is a member of the OBGYN Generalist Practice as well as Rotation Director on Labor and Delivery. She completed her both her undergraduate and medical degrees at Harvard University, and her residency at the Brigham and Women's Hospital/ Massachusetts General Hospital combined OBGYN residency program. Dr. Farid's interests focus on colposcopy, healthcare disparities, diversity in medicine, and medical education.
DiNapoliMartina Dahill
Program Manager
Martina has helped organize the program for nine years and has a n in-depth knowledge of ACGME, ABOG, and CREOG educational guidelines. She was the recipient of the ACGME GME Program Coordinator Excellence Award for her efforts in the program. She has a particular interest in improving the application and interviewing process, as well as diversity in graduate medical education.
