About the BIDMC HAEMR Virtual Experience
Thank you for your interest in BIDMC HAEMR’s virtual medical student experience. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed many things in medical education, not the least of which is the limits on students interested in emergency medicine to engage in away rotations. Our goal is for you to get to know our residency program. We will also provide interested medical students with opportunities for clinical education and career mentorship that they might not have during the 2021-2022 application cycle.
This one-week virtual experience will take place twice this summer, during the weeks of July 12 - July 16 and July 26 - July 30. Each week will include one hour per day of clinical didactics and one hour per day of dedicated mentorship by our educational faculty. Participants will also be invited to our Wednesday morning residency didactics and, when available, to our journal club on Tuesday evenings. Please view the 2021 virtual experience flyer for an overview of the program.
