In December 2015, the health center was chosen to receive funding through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) to support an innovative and exciting Community Health Worker expansion pilot program. With this funding, we have been able to build upon our previous experience with Community Health Workers and better engage in population management and outreach to our highest risk patients.

A seasonably warm day marked the launch of GardenSoxx in Bowdoin Geneva. Held on Saturday June 4, 2016 in the parking lot of the Bowdoin Street Health Center, the GardenSoxx distribution day represented the culmination of early spring planning between the health center, community partners, and funders.

Twenty-five (25) youth participated in the health center’s recent Youth Leadership Program (YLP) and at the end of June, 15 very dedicated teens had graduated with new found leadership skills, an improved sense of self- worth and a drive to improve their community to promote safety and prevent violence.
