Extraordinary care for every patient, every day – this is our calling and our promise to our patients. In an increasingly complex healthcare landscape, The Division of General Medicine’s physicians provide compassionate care to each patient, at every stage of life. Our patients benefit from expert continuity of care; support to maintain wellness and manage chronic conditions; acute care in the inpatient hospital setting; and palliative care for advanced illness. All of our services are grounded and shaped by scientific research. Additionally, we lead the nation in educational programs to train the next generation of exceptional physicians.

Together, General Medicine’s four Sections – Primary Care, Hospital Medicine, Palliative Care, and Research – offer an interconnected web of kindness, expertise, and care to hold our patients through both health and illness.

In addition to HCA, we’re proud to offer primary care practices across Greater Boston, the western suburbs, the South Shore, and much of eastern Massachusetts through Beth Israel Deaconess HealthCare.
