Partial Knee Replacement Surgery
This procedure is common when arthritis is present in only part of knee. Your
surgeon will remove damaged tissue and bone, using a prosthetic (man-made
implant) to replace them.
Total Knee
Replacement Surgery
Your surgeon will remove damaged cartilage and bone, and will replace the
entire knee joint with a prosthesis, or man-made joint.
Partial Hip Replacement Surgery
A partial hip replacement removes and replaces the ball of the hip joint, but does
not replace the socket. Most often, this surgery is done to repair certain
types of fractures.
Total Hip Replacement Surgery
Your surgeon will remove damaged cartilage and bone, and will replace the entire hip
joint with a prosthesis, or man-made joint.
Joint replacement surgery is considered only when non-surgical treatment options are no longer effective in addressing arthritis symptoms.
