This year for the first time in two decades, the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is requesting voluntary donations to supplement the costs of the center’s symposium. Your support is very much appreciated and will fund other Parkinson’s Disease educational and research programs, as well. The cost per person for holding this symposium is approximately $35 - $40, but we welcome donations of any size; no amount is too big or too small! To make a donation, please visit: On that website be sure to select “other” as the gift designation, and then write “PD symposium” in the comments field. We will be accepting cash, check, or credit card donations just before the start of the symposium on the morning of October 20th, but to avoid lines, we prefer advance online donations if possible.

As a special thank you to the person who makes the largest donation, he or she has the option to receive a wonderful painting, The Bouquet, kindly donated by artist: Natasha Lynn Rabin. The generous recipient of the painting will be announced and thanked at the end of the symposium, unless the individual wishes to remain anonymous. (Be sure to indicate whether you wish to remain anonymous in the event that your donation ends up being the largest.) Please see below for more information on the painting.

In order for online donations to be considered for the painting, please submit all online donations by 12:00 PM on October 19th. Donations submitted online after 12:00 PM will not be counted when determining who Natasha Rabin will give the painting, The Bouquet, to.
