Heartburn Quiz

About the Quiz

Despite its name, heartburn has nothing to do with the heart. (Some of the symptoms, however, are similar to those of a heart attack or heart disease.) It is an irritation of the esophagus that is caused by stomach acid. Heartburn can be a symptom of a serious problem called “gastroesophageal reflux disease” or GERD.

It’s estimated that over 60 million Americans have heartburn once a month, and more than 15 million experience heartburn symptoms each day.

To find out how much you really know about the symptoms, causes, treatments and prevention of heartburn, take the quiz!
