Most of you are familiar with Living Beyond Breast Cancer, and, if you are not, you should be. They are a wonderful organization near Philadelphia that support all kinds of initiatives and support and resources for women with breast cancer. This is a note from their Executive Director, Elyse Caplan, about a survey for young women with breast cancer - specifically, women who were diagnosed at age 45 or younger. Full disclousure: I helped write the survey, so I think it is important and will be useful in thinking about the needs of younger women and how best to help them.

We need your help! Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC) recently launched a National Survey of Young Women Affected by Breast Cancer. This survey will assess the unique needs of young women across the nation and seeks to identify gaps in education and support programs for this community. Can you help us by telling the young women that you work with about this survey?
LBBC seeks women diagnosed with breast cancer at or under age 45 years old to complete the survey. The survey can be accessed online via http://lbbc.org/ywsurvey.
Everyone who completes the survey will receive a coupon for $25 off $75 spent at Fashion Bug and can enter to win a $250 Fashion Bug gift card.
LBBC also has paper surveys available. If you would like us to mail paper surveys for you to distribute at your organization or facility, please call us at (610) 645-4567 or e-mail ywi@lbbc.org with your mailing address and the number of surveys you would like to receive. Each paper survey will include a postage paid reply envelope. All paper respondents will receive the same incentives as the online respondents.
This national survey is a part of LBBC's Young Women's Initiative to expand our existing programs and develop new programs for young women. The Young Women's Initiative is funded by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
