BIDMC hosts student interview day

Nearly 50 teens and young adults interviewed for jobs at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's summer student interview day.
Students scheduled interviews with three or more of 30 hospital hiring managers set up at interview stations at BIDMC. For many this was a first opportunity to show off their resume and discuss their skills and experience in a professional environment.
The youth summer jobs program is part a BIDMC initiative to reach out to area schools and community groups to get kids and young adults interested in careers in health care. "We hope it gives them an opportunity to build self confidence and develop professional skills that will help guide them as they continue on their educational path and make career choices," said Emily Beck, Program Administrator, Workforce Development.
