  • We'd like to welcome Dr. Aidin Masoudi, our new post doctoral fellow, who will be working on our fracture risk prediction study among other things.
  • Congratulations to Claudio Rosso, our alumnus from Basel, and the rest of the team who received the Swiss Orthopaedic and Trauma Society's 2012 Poster Award on our shoulder biomechanics work.
  • We have just received a R21 award to design and implement a portable wound stasis system using hydrogel polymeric foam.
  • We'd like to welcome Shohreh Behrouzi, our new research assistant, who will be working on our OREF-funded fracture risk prediction study.
  • We'd like to welcome Jasmeet Arora, a bright high school student who will spend the summer at our lab.
  • We'd like to welcome Ramin Oftadeh, graduate student from Northeastern University, to the lab. Ramin will be working on modeling metabolic bone and tumor activity in our CT-based fracture risk prediction methodology.
  • Congratulations to John Rennick, our recent alumnus, who just landed a great job in marine structural engineering in Rhode Island.
  • We have just submitted a proposal to the Orthopaedic Trauma Association to address orthopaedic surgery-related infection complications.
  • We'd like to welcome Alvin Chen, HMS medical student, to the lab. Alvin will be working on a couple of clinical projects involving meniscus and biceps tenodesis repair techniques.
  • Best of luck to Vahid Entezari, who has started a new chapter in his life as an orthopaedic surgery resident at the Cleveland Clinic.
  • We'd like to welcome Michael Wexler and Benjamin Hertz, senior biomedical engineering students from BU, to the lab. They'll comprise the 5th generation of our shoulder biomechanics team from BU.
  • Congratulations to Max Rosen, Natalie Vieira and Megan Lee, our fourth generation of BU senior projects students on shoulder biomechanics, who successfully defended their theses and landed great bioengineering jobs in the area. Additional props to Max, who also got married recently.
  • We have just submitted a NIH S10 Shared Instrumentation Award proposal to obtain a pre-clinical in-vivo uCT system.
  • We'd like to welcome Gabrielle Paci, a medical student from Brown University, to the lab. She'll spend the next year conducting research with us.
  • Congratulations to Gabrielle Paci for receiving the prestigious Doris Duke Award.
  • Congratulations to Vahid Entezari, MD, who matched at Cleveland Clinic's Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program.
  • Congratulations to our alumnus, Vartan Vartanians, who matched at Lahey Clinic's Radiology Residency and UMass Preliminary Year in Medicine Residency Programs.
  • We'd like to welcome Leandro (Leo) Grimaldi, MD, to the lab. He is our second post-doctoral fellow from the Harvard Latin American Initiative Program.
  • We would like to welcome Sam Jeong, Sean Lee and Gordon Lee from Boston University's Department of Biomedical Engineering, all of whom will work on their senior thesis at our lab.
  • Our lab is now OREF funded.
