  • Ara Nazarian and Joseph DeAngelis have been invited by the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery to present a grand rounds talk at University of Massachusetts Medical Center
  • We have submitted a pre-proposal to the Department of Defense on prevention of shoulder injuries

  • We have submitted a proposal to the Football Players Health Study at Harvard on acromioclavicular injuries

  • We welcome three new Post-doctoral Fellows to the lab: Drs. Belen Cubria, Sebastian Suarez, and Mohammad Alfaqih

  • Our fracture risk prediction work has been featured in the November 2014 AAOS newsletter 
  • Ara Nazarian has been elected as an At-Large Member of the board of directors for the Harvard Medical School Orthopaedic Trauma Initiative
  • Ara Nazarian is a co-investigator on a recently funded R01 proposal to generate silk implants (PI: Dr. David Kaplan)
  • Ara Nazarian and George Dyer have been awards a proposal to address traumatic segmental defects by the Stepping strong foundation from Brigham and Women’s Hospital
  • Ara Nazarian has been invited to present a grand rounds talk at Rhode Island Hospital (Brown University) on November 5. The topic will be our ongoing shoulder research 
  • We have submitted a R01 sub-award on a project with Dr. Michael Yaszemski from Mayo Clinic.
  • We have just submitted an application for the Stepping Strong Innovator Award at Brigham and Women’s Hospital with Drs. George Dyer and David Kaplan
  • We have submitted a R01 sub-award on a project with Dr. David Kaplan from Tufts University
  • Ara Nazarian gave a talk at the 7th World Congress of Biomechanics in Boston 
  • Ara Nazarian gave a talk at the 11th World Congress on Computational Mechanics in Barcelona
