Clinical research on preservation of renal function in Type 1 Diabetes. We are studying the relationship between standard method of insulin delivery and a computerized delivery in a pulsatile manner, including observation on heart function and anatomy, retinal vascular changes, neurological functional impact, and hemostasis alterations. Mechanisms in thromboembolic events in diabetic patients undergoing treatment for end-stage renal disease. Relationship of altered blood flow in the retina of diabetic patient to progression of renal and retinal complications.
