Analytical Core: Facility and Equipment
The Analytical and Preparative Core Facility provides valuable support for the protein biochemistry and structural work within the Center for Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research. This is a modern analytical instrumentation facility which includes two Applied Biosystems peptide synthesizers, a Procise HT amino acid sequence analyzer and two preparative Beckman HPLC systems. Complex peptides including gamma-carboxygultamic acid or enriched amino acids containing 15N and 13C are synthesized. Some synthetic peptides prepared are up to 65 residues in length.
