The overarching objective of the Program is the conduct of research and education on common musculoskeletal conditions of aging such as osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, sarcopenia, and foot disorders.

Dr. Kiel is the Director of Research for the BIDMC/HSL/Harvard Interdisciplinary Center on Aging.Dr. Kiel's research interests are in the area of osteoporosis and related fractures,including falls, nutritional factors, genetics and frailty.
