Blood Pressure Regulation Laboratory
Mission
The mission of this laboratory is to understand the mechanisms underlying age- and disease-related alterations in the regulation of blood pressure and blood flow to the brain, and how these abnormalities may cause the common and dangerous problems of falls, syncope, and cognitive decline in elderly people. The laboratory ultimately aims to identify new pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions to prevent ischemic damage to the brain and its morbid consequences.
