Saumya Das, MD, is a  researcher and electrophysiologist in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and the CardioVascular Institute (CVI) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. 

Dr. Das's research interests include:

• Electrical modeling
• Role of sodium channel in inherited and acquired heart diseases
• Novel methods to image sodium fluxes including nanosensors and cardiac resynchronization

In his clinical practice, Dr. Das performs electrophysiology procedures such as device implantations and radiofrequency ablations. In addition, along with Matthew P. Coggins, MD, he staffs the Inherited Cardiovascular Disease Program within the CVI's Outpatient Cardiovascular Clinic. The program focuses on familial heart diseases such as cardiomyopathies, long QT syndrome and Brugada syndrome.
