Peter Oettgen Laboratory

Dr. Peter Oettgen is a member of the Cardiology Division at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is the Director of Preventive Cardiology and the Cardiovascular Health and Lipid Center.

His major research interests and contributions have been in determining the molecular mechanisms of vascular inflammation, angiogenesis, and vascular development with a particular focus on the role of ETS transcription factors in these processes. The ultimate goal of these studies is to identify novel therapeutic approaches to cardiovascular disease. His laboratory is located at Center for Vascular Biology Research.
