Elective Masters Degree
Elective Master’s Degree*
The fellows have the option to pursue a Master of Medical Sciences Degree from Harvard Medical School in conjunction with The Clinical Investigator Training Program.
The Degree is awarded at the end of the two-year period, upon successful completion of the following requirements:
Didactic Coursework
Fellows must attend at least 80% of scheduled seminar sessions.
Research Project
Trainees must complete or make sufficient progress on a project, as assessed by their research mentor and the Co-Directors of the CITP.
Thesis or Thesis Equivalent
Due by mid-spring of the 2nd year.
Qualifying Exam
Reviewed by the CITP Steering Committee and the Dean for Clinical Affairs at Harvard Medical School, or his designate.
*The Master’s Degree is not a requirement of the CITP course.
